What to use to clean your furniture

One of the most common questions that we are asked is, “What is the best way to clean my wood furniture”? Our answer is always “Murphy’s Oil Soap” It is a vegetable oil-based product that actually has many uses. Its natural formulation makes it ideal for cleaning furniture, kitchen cabinets, and hardwood floors. Some people use it to clean and polish horse tack, clean black powder weapons after use, and even as a release agent for plaster mold making. We have found the best way to use it is in its concentrated form. Simply add a couple of tablespoons to a plant sprayer bottle and fill it with water. We recommend using a soft cotton cloth and the oil soap mixture for everyday cleaning and dusting. This is a product that has been around for over 100 years. It contains nothing that could do harm to the finish of the furniture.
